Overview

I currently design on the video hub team, focusing on system patterns and the overall user experience for Crave CTV and Noovo on both mobile and web platforms. Our work spans the core product, aiming to optimize design and functionality.

Improving the showpage experience

The original showpage was designed and built with only 1 brand to consider (Crave). There has not been a significant change to layout or design refresh since its launch four years ago. With CTV and Noovo on the ACE platform and with very different business needs, it’s time to design a new experience holistically.

I was responsible for visual design, user experience and interaction design. I worked closely with the product managers, UX designers/researchers, developers and content writers, to iterate and refine our design solutions.

Crave, CTV, Noovo design system & documentation

An entire overhaul of our video hub visual language and user experience was conducted. From the foundation, I helped introduce design tokens and building components for Crave, CTV and Noovo ensuring all brands are consistent, accessible and scalable for all platforms.

Furthermore, emphasizing composability for product teams was important when constructing the library. Internally, this library's composition led to a new approach in working with our design systems.

Being able to work with other designers on this extensive application helped expose me to a wide range of perspectives and ideas that I would've never considered. Being able to conduct user interviews and user testing helped us build a better understanding of how we can improve our user experience. Through this process, we were able to reiterate any details we missed and helped identify our core features. 

 

If we got another chance to do this again, we would want to work with a travel officer during the design process. Since all of us, designers do not have extensive knowledge of applying for a visa, having a professional opinion would help myVisa become closer to being a realizable application.

Email Verification

With Bell Media Account coming to intergrate Crave CTV and Noovo into one platform, we introduced email verification to the sign up experience. I spearheaded the mobile aspect of this project, ensuring the design and experience is consistent between iOS and Android devices.
